About Brewerytown Paperboy
Brewerytown Paperboy is a result of twenty five years of buying, collecting, and selling paper ephemera.Adjacent to that, I was a High School English teacher for 18 years at the School District of Philadelphia and surrounding charter schools. When I decided to retire from teaching at the age of 55, I took a good look in my basement, and realized: WOW! I have a veritable ton of books, stories, art, paper upon paper, paper that tells stories, paper that illuminates history, paper that interrogates the truth, paper that reveals humanity, paper that is silk, papers that store faces, faces that insure our humanity, faces of people, lives and stories, and by all means LOVE.
I love history, research, and people.
About Bailey Street Collective
Bailey Street Collective is a business association located at 1517-19 N. Bailey Street, Philadelphia (19121).
We are three businesses in one large warehouse in the heart of Brewerytown: Mode Moderne, Botanography, and Brewerytown Paperboy.
Mode Moderne sells mid-century modern furniture, lighting, and accessories with over thirty years of experience working with clients developing modern aesthetics in their homes and businesses.
Botanography is a 501c3 educational non-profit and studio space that works with community organizations and schools to develop garden classroom curriculum and environmental literacy programming. Botanography also sells teaching games and original botanical multi-media prints that have been exhibited internationally.
Brewerytown Paperboy is a business specializing in vintage paper items: books, posters, art, photographs and vintage items for home decor.
Brewerytown Paperboy, Mode Moderne and Botanography hope to partner with the many art studios and small businesses in the Brewerytown area in the near future as a community cooperative offering patrons of art and design an opportunity to explore a host of different businesses and art studios on specified days of the month.
